Rules of the Game
- All entrants must provide valid identification upon request.
- All guests must confirm participation prior to / during the registration time.
- The tournament start time will begin approximately at 11:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. or earlier if required.
- There is a buy-in fee of $170 per participant; $100.00 will go into the daily tournament prize pool, $50.00 will go towards the final table prize pool and $20.00 will go toward administration fees.
- A $10.00 Optional Dealer Appreciation will be available to all players during registration. Any player who buys the optional dealer appreciation will receive an additional one-thousand dollars ($1,000.00) in non-value tournament chips.
- Limit one daily entry per participant.
- MGM Grand Detroit reserves the right to limit the number of entries per tournament.
- All participants are required to register for the tournament at the Poker Room during the registration time on the day of the tournament. Official tournament rules will be made available at registration.
- At registration participants will receive a seating and table assignment card.
- Table numbers and seat selection will be assigned randomly on a first come, first serve basis at registration.
- Based on the number of participants at registration, some tables may have more or fewer patrons than others.
- Tournament cannot be delayed due to late arrivals.
- No substitutions will be allowed at any time during the tournament.
- Each tournament will take place in the designated Poker Room at designated tables.
- The 2009 Standard Poker Tournament Directors Association (Poker TDA Rules) apply.
- MGM Grand Detroit Poker Room Rules apply.
- The number of tables may be limited to 4 tables depending on table availability and the number of participants with a maximum of 5 tables. Each table maximum is (10) players.
- The winner of each daily tournament will be invited to play in the Satellite Final Table Tournament on April 5, 2010.
- The Final Table Tournament will consist of two tables with up to (18) seats consisting of 16 daily tournament winners and two wild card seats.
- Players may enter more than one tournament but can only win one seat for the Final Table Tournament. In the event a player wins multiple tournaments, the seat will be considered a wild card seat.
- The wild card will be chosen as the 17th and 18th players for the Satellite Final Table Tournament. Two names will be drawn. The persons whose names are drawn and announced will have 2 minutes after their names are announced to present valid photo ID at the Poker Room. If a person whose name is announced does not appear within the 2-minute time frame, that person will be considered to have forfeited their seat. Another name will be drawn and announced until an eligible participant is established.
- Four-thousand dollars ($4,000.00) in non-value tournament chips will be issued to each patron at the start of play for each daily tournament.
- Tournament chips must remain in clear view for tournament personnel and all other players.

Each level of the tournament will last approximately 20 minutes. Tournament format is as follows:

A patron may not play another patrons spot.
- Delaying the game in any fashion can be cause for elimination from the tournament.
- No communication between patrons and spectators is allowed during the course of play.
- Collusion among patrons is prohibited.
- An awards list will be forwarded to Cage listing the cash winners.
- If a problem occurs during play, it is the responsibility of the patron to notify the Game Supervisor immediately. All disputes must be settled before any patron leaves the table. In all cases, the decision of the Tournament Director is final.
- The official tournament language is English and conversing in any other language will not be permitted unless through an MGM Grand Detroit Representative.
- By registering, all entrants grant MGM Grand Detroit unconditional consent to be photographed and allow MGM Grand Detroit the use of the photographs for promotional and advertising purposes without compensation.
- MGM Grand Detroit reserves the right to cancel or alter this event at any time. The only item that may be altered without previous MGCB approval is the number of participants (possibly resulting in an alteration to the number of tables). The number of participants may be increased or decreased based on demand.
- Participants who are 21 years of age or older are eligible to enter except for partners or employees of MGM Grand Detroit, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, retail vendors, or members or employees of the Michigan Gaming Control Board or Michigan State Police.
- Entrants will be held solely responsible for all applicable Federal, State, provincial and/or local taxes. A 1099 tax form will be issued to the winner of prizes $600 or more. For prizes $600 or more, winners will be paid at the Cage only after required information for Form 1099-MISC has been received.
- All participants agree to abide by all tournament rules. Failure to adhere to tournament rules and procedures will result in a participant’s disqualification.
- Participation fees are non-refundable.
